1. Agreement

These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your access to and use of SubWise services, including the Chrome extension, mobile applications, and related websites (collectively, the "Service"). By using the Service, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy.

2. Auto-renewable subscriptions (mobile app)

SubWise offers an optional Premium auto-renewable subscription through the Apple App Store and Google Play. Subscription details (title, length, and price) are shown in the app before purchase and may vary by region and store.

  • Payment is charged to your Apple ID or Google Play account at confirmation of purchase.
  • The subscription renews automatically unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period.
  • Your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours before the end of the current period. The renewal price is the price shown at purchase unless you are notified otherwise in accordance with store policies.
  • You can manage or cancel your subscription in your device account settings (Apple: Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions; Google Play: Subscriptions).
  • Any free trial or promotional period, if offered, converts to a paid subscription unless canceled before the trial ends, as described in the store listing at the time of offer.
  • Refunds are handled according to Apple App Store or Google Play policies. We do not process store purchases directly.

3. License and acceptable use

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the Service for personal, non-commercial language learning. You may not reverse engineer, abuse rate limits, interfere with other users, or use the Service in violation of applicable law or third-party platform terms (e.g. streaming services).

4. AI and third-party services

Translation and explanations are generated with the help of third-party AI providers. Output may be inaccurate or incomplete. The Service depends on third parties (hosting, authentication, billing, AI) that have their own terms and policies.

5. Disclaimer and limitation of liability

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, SubWise is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service.

6. Termination

You may stop using the Service at any time and delete your account from the mobile app. We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms or if required for security or legal reasons.

7. Changes

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
